And were audio files actually deleted? Even if so, you could recopy the original session and do it again for each song.

Thanks everybody for suggestions and hints,
but it is to much effort for me to do it inside Mixbus…at the moment.
I have about 20-100 GB each week, and need to be able to extract songs fast…and the easy way I'm used to.
For now I'll use another DAW to do that, then route audio via ADAT to Mixbus and mixing in Mixbus is fun and sounds great, using input monitoring in Mixbus and sending the mix via ADAT back to record...
Best regards

I'm digging at you Ben, but it's all in fun. :-D)

...until you realise: "MAN! On track 11 there was that awesome guitar solo! Now there is a stupid BGV!" *pull hairs* *facepalm* *expletives*

Coming back to
extract a single song from a live show...
How about a new feature like
- split the needed song / or create the markers for it
- select start start / end marker or region
- save as new project - just with this audio, including / excluding any processes
BTW
leaving every song in one big project will create a whole bunch of markers etc...
and maybe other crowded info...

I enjoy MB32Cv9 a lot, and would even more with the above feature...

Or....
- Save the existing multi-song to a new project name.
- Start up the new project and
- - - Mark start and end of song you want to "extract"
- - - Delete everything up to that song's start marker
- - - Delete everything from that song's end market to the end of the session.
- - - Save

You now have a session with just the song you wanted to "extract" and all Editor, Mixer & Plugins settings are still in place.
I've done this, quite a few times, in the past.

Cheers!

Correct. Because the edits are "non-destructive".
If the goal is to produce a single song, or selection of songs from the whole show AND to discard the rest of the session,
ie., reduce the size of the whole audio file, then that is a different nut to crack.

Cheers!
