Online Manual
#1
Hello,

The current version of Mixbus/Mixbus32C manuals can be accessed from the links below.  These are 'live' manual links, meaning that the manual can be updated in realtime.  The manual accepts comments, so we can update the manual to meet the needs of mixbus users.

If you'd rather have a printable PDF manual for offline reading, you can access a pdf by scrolling to the bottom of the "Table of Contents" which is on the left side of the manual,  and/or accessible by a button at the top-left of the screen.

If you have downloaded a PDF of the live manual, remember to update it occasionally, as we will continue to improve the documentation. Feel free to leave feedback near the bottom of each page if you see mistakes or oversights. All feedback is welcomed and appreciated. The 'feedback' area (in the online manual) is intended for notes about the manual, not a good place for mixbus bug reports or feature requests.

Hello Mick,

It would be possible to put a date or version of the manual when you make changes?
So users know whether any change has been made.

Thanks a lot.

Sorry for my bad English...

It already exists on the first page of the PDF version of the manual. Wink

I like that idea and had thought about it. I'm thinking right now it will be updated often so it would always have a very recent date on it. Maybe that's something I should add as the manual matures and updates are less often. Thanks for the suggestion.

[attachment=271]Am I right in thinking that if the date has changed on the top of the post, that the content has been changed & should be updated by us/me?

Ha ha, You got me! I edited the post for grammar if I remember correct. But that edit has nothing to do with any updates that are applied to the manual. I try to make minors updates to the manual as time permits. I base the updates on user feedback, forum post, etc. We are trying to keep it so that it is not too overwhelming for a new user. Some functions are self evident and need little to no documentation, or are so complicated it is just best to put it in a video. We are striving for a balance on that front. Many of the training videos for Mixbus v2 are still relevant but v3 videos are coming.

I am excited about V3 videos. And I respect you doing these. From my days in writing documentation I know that creating good videos is a time consuming effort! Thanks!

I am for all practical purposes new to Mixbus having just purchased v3. (I purchased 1 and 2 but never used it.)

If I want to get a complete understanding of the "Ardour part" of Mixbus, is it all in this manual? Or do I need to refer to the Ardour 4 manual?

Hi Bender. I'm sure going to really enjoy using Mixbus v3!

Mixbus and Ardour are complex software packages. We tried to make the Mixbus manual thorough enough to pull a basic mix together, but information is power so it wouldn't hurt to read up on Ardour.
