Mixbus 3.0-1268 "Interim Release"
#1
"Interim Releases" are Mixbus packages that allow users to view the current state of Mixbus development between official releases. Interim releases are best-suited to technical users who are comfortable installing and managing multiple versions of software on their machines.

You should only download an "interim release" if it fixes an important critical bug for you. Interim releases allow us to fix specific issues for our users, or beta-test new features. They are not as thoroughly tested as official releases, so you may find that an interim release is not as stable as the official releases (even if they fix some particular issues for you). They might even cause damage to your session files, so please make a backup of any important sessions before opening them in an interim release.

Currently, we are providing these packages to our registered forum members. Mixbus v3 is still a very new product and we want to provide fast and free access to updates without the delays associated with an official release schedule.

In the future, we expect Interim Releases to become an exclusive benefit for our "Plugged-In Membership"

Please do not post these links outside our forum, because the links are not permanent, and they do not represent a finished state.

If you have questions or comments, please reach us at: mixbus@harrisonconsoles.com

NOTE: If you purchased Mixbus v3 after Wednesday July30, then you probably already have this version. You can check your current version by visiting the "About" page. If the version says 3.0-1268 then you do not need to download this package.

This package solves several minor issues (listed below). Some recently-reported issues with Windows ASIO I/O and VST plugins are still in development.

Fix some workflow problems wrt automation.
- clearing automation points sets control to "off" rather than touch.
- multiple touches on the same pass acts consistently (no more

Great work Harrison!

The mixer strip scale function makes Mixbus useble on my laptop,
110% fits perfect on my screen, still a bit small but it works very well.
I liked the old GUI but the new one really grows on you, I sure get the change.
Just got back from vacation so now I'm reaaly eger to get to my studio and see how it looks on my 50" screen :-)

Best regards
Thomas

Sadly, after trying out Mixbus 3.0-1268 "Interim Release", I am experiencing the same issue. I cannot see any of my VSTs after performing the scan for my plugins.

This is the process I took during testing:
1. Completely uninstalled the previous MB3 version.
2. Installed the interim release version
3. Cleared the VST cache and blacklist
4. All options enabled (always display plugin scan, scan for new VST plugins,, verbose plugin scan)
5. Added the path to my VST plugins (I pointed to one specific folder like "EQs" at a time during testing)
6. Pressed Scan for Plugins. Scan completed successfully with no errors.
7. Went to a track, right click, selected "New Plugin", and saw none of the plugins I added.
8. Closed MB3, restarted MB3
9. A scan for my plugins was automatically performed during startup.
10. Created a new song, added a track
11. Went to add a plugin and again found none of my VSTs

I was really hoping this issue would be resolved by now. Oh well.

Thanks to the MB3 team.

I have followed instructions and loaded the new MB3 interim/beta.

I have everything that I need working fine. At the moment

Win 7 Ultimate, i5 quad core, 2340MhZ, 8 GB ram, everything loaded onto my PC, Adobe PS, Premiere, Office suite's, Cad systems, Reaper, Studio 1-2, using Asio set at 512 buffer

Cheers Guys

@Summer2000: I'm sorry but we aren't seeing that here. please write our support email at: mixbus@harrisonconsoles.com

Perhaps we can learn more details from a "verbose" plugin scan.

The mixer strip scale is huge improvement! This makes it look pretty good on my low-res laptop screen (1366x768).
Thanks for the very quick implementation of this feature request.

Now there's only one thing, that doesn't look good, even with scaled GUI:
The font in the bottom line of the mixer window (peak meter and fader value) don't match the small windows they're supposed to fit in.
