Some things that seem annoying at first aren't a big deal once you get used to them.
Ben, I appreciate your attention and communication, thanks.
Re: The Comp inside the Fader. You have lost one of your main marketing points by removing it.
To work with the Comp is harder now.
1. Confusing upside down meters, short. Same color, two identical meters close to each other = much more brain energy spent to discern
2. On smaller screens one needs to click on TINY rectangular button (should be square) or use keyboard = much more muscle work + brain work
3. Fast and simple comp controls were replaced by extensive ones = gain in granularity of control, loss of speed and simplicity
4. I suggest to bring back the old rectangular cap on the comp threshhold lever to differentiate between Comp and Gate and to provide custom colors (update: ok, I found it, sorry) for the knobs because these two sections look too similar now = will result in less brain calculations = less fatigue
5. For usability benefit I would suggest to make the long rectangular knobs for Gate, Comp, Eq, Sends SQUARE in order to maximize the area for hitting it with the mouse cursor = less brain and muscle work
It is true that a man adapts easily, but is it correct to expect it nowdays? This is not a hardware domain, in digital UI developers must always strive for optimizing the interface because it is the main thing for the users. After all Mixbus is all about user experience, isn`t it?
