@traz, welcome to the Mixbus Forum.
Are you running the latest version ? http://forum.harrisonconsoles.com/thread-9638.html
An issue with VST3 was fixed in the latest (v6.2.70)

Are they crashing during use - or when you first try to insert them? If you can't even insert them (and if v6.2.70 doesn't help) could you maybe try this... open Window->Preferences->Show->Plugins and untick the box that says Automatically open the plugin GUI when adding a new plugin

My guess is that you'll then be able to insert the plugin okay but it'll crash if you try to display it. Would you mind just trying that please?

Hi there...yes Dingo I am running the latest version of mixbus....(6.2.70)....johne53, tried your suggestion doesn't help. when I insert a plugin (like Izotope Iris2) it just crashes trying to load, without trying to load the GUI, then Mixbus freezes ....after awhile it will just close. Again, like I stated vst2 version works fine.....so not a big deal. Thanks for all the help.

It looks like some Izotope VST3's are available free (such as the Vinyl plugin and Vocal Doubler etc). Does the crash happen with those free ones? That'd make it easier for me to test.

I just tested with Mixbus 32C 6.2.70 and have no problems loading and using Izotope Ozone 8 Elements nor Vinyl.
What Izotope plugins are you having issues with?
Can you see the VST or VST3 files in your plugins folder ?
Have you tried trashing Blacklist and rescanning ?
Also what Mixbus version are you using ?

I really don't think Mixbus is the problem.....google search for Izotope vst3 show problems with other DAWS as one example. Other plugins like Plugin Alliance bx vst3's don't show presets, vst2 are fine. So in my humble opinion I think the vst3 application is flawed with different company's implementation of the vst3 protocol. Some plugins are old, some are new that's why we have mixed results.......Going to vst2 and everything is fine! Again, I have had problems with other company's plugins in the vst3 format....I will from now on stick with the vst2 and save myself some grief. Just saying....cheers .... Mixbus is GREAT!!!
