there is a new plugin format called CLAP. Maybe Harrison Consoles could implement this format into future developments. This could possibly solve a couple of problems. It is still a new format, but promising.

From my personal point of view, I stopped using Mixbus 32c for MIDI instruments and MIDI in general years ago. There are other DAW's that are simply better suited for this task. However, for mixing, I still like Mixbus. And, of course, for audio recording. Mixbus has proven to be the best choice. In terms of sound, and in terms of control via OSC. These tiny little controllers created in Lemur iOS have proven to be reliable, and also bi-directional.
