Thanks Sunrat, for answering the call with another difference between MB and MB32c.
Be Well

FYI ~ the audio engine is the same in Mixbus and 32C, the major differences between the two are in the EQ and Bus configurations.

sunrat is on the money... many users who are recording on location or at another studio will use Mixbus as a recording package that can run on smaller monitors / laptops.
A project recorded in Mixbus will open all the media in 32C, however the EQ settings will not come across (as they are different EQ's) , but all the audio, edits etc will come across.
Mixbus is best suited to someone working on a budget, who has a smaller (or only 1) screen or lappy.
32C costs more and is best suited to a mixroom that has large and / or multiple monitors.
At the moment Mixbus is going for USD$19... at that price it is a handy package to pickup.

I use a large desktop monitor for 32C at home which would be crazy to take on location so I take an old 1280x1024 19" monitor which is perfectly fine for plain MB.
MB 32C uses a lot more screen real estate and it's virtually impossible to use it on a small screen. The recommended screen size is 1200px vertical so if you have a smaller screen than that it becomes difficult. Even a standard HD 1920x1080 monitor is suboptimal for 32C.
Well, I'm not doing any location recording (especially right now), But I am using a 1920x1200 monitor. Your post has given me second thoughts...Hmm...
Thanks, Sunrat.

Thanks for the info Dingo. As I mentioned elsewhere, I'm running a 1920 x 1200 monitor. You say that 32 c would run on two monitors that size? Hmm..now I have an excuse to get another monitor.
Cheers,
Doug
I just downloaded the 32c demo and it's WAY too small for these old eyes. That's what happens when you get to 66 years old.
Guess I'll have to pass-it wasn't urgent anyway, just a good deal.
Cheers
Doug

I use MB32C on a 43" 4K TV as a monitor but not maximised. I think 32" would be the sweet spot and anything less than 27" would be rather squeezy. It does have good scaling in Preferences.
Beats me how anyone uses 32C on a laptop without a magnifying glass.

And I used to think that a 27" monitor was HUGE! :-)

Same here, I'm 67, my screen is a 43", not maximized. I just got a fresh vision exam so new eyeglasses will, hopefully, help. I can not use MB 32c on a screen smaller than 32", all I will do is squint. 19" is the smallest for MB, I could not use a laptop even for MB.
