Kushview Element: Plugin Swiss Army Knife
#1
I've been finding this plug-in extremely useful, and would like to give the developer a shout-out here because it works so well with Mixbus. It's very useful for parallel processing, and also solves an issue with some plugins which don't release their DSP load when bypassed. It also can load VST3 and allows the sparse space in the insert section to be less cluttered, since serial chains can also be included. Tested against similar commercial offerings like Metaplugin, Patchwork, and Agent (demoed them all), it's no contest: this works the best with Mixbus.

The other ones had trouble displaying plug presets, held on to the DSP when bypassed, glitched out in unhelpful ways, and generally neutralized their benefit to the workflow. Element, however, is proving to play very nicely with Mixbus, and is allowing infinitely flexible parallel processing on the track or bus level, which is really revolutionizing our mixes.

I highly recommend this intelligent piece of open-source donation-ware, which is being offered on Patreon, or for a single download fee of $2. It can also be found on Github for free, both installation and code.

The code is open, in case Mixbus is interested in developing this module as a native add-on. It would be great for the module to get the support, as it didn't survive as a commercial product. This is kind of sad, considering it performed better than the (expensive) competition.

Check it out.

Thank you for the info!

This one is a serious piece of software, with plenty of great functions as I can see. Very interesting.
