Missing Track Data, Bass Guitar NOT happy
#1
Good Day.

Let me say a big thank you to those that responded to my first two cries for help. Your absolutly fantastic, THANK YOU.

Now! My issue after a full day recording and trying to watch too many things at once, I have lost or not recorded our Bass Guitar Player. He either was there, or faded out or completely flat lined from the mix. We have him for some but not all. We have traced it to a bad AMP and Cable.

I've attached a picture of my settings and hope there is a way i can use MIXBUS to playback the tracks over monitors and record just the bass guitar to input #5 without losing all my data. We have over 3 hours recorded. We can fix just our final takes by having the musician come in for an hour.

There must be a way!

Also, can i save my session's data in a different session to preserve the data? Also, where do i find the data on my hard drive? I coud copy the folder out and keep it safe to copy back in if I have to.

Again, THANK YOU all for any help.

I guess two things maybe:
check the input of the bass (right click on the track)
or some phisical bad connection

You can listen to and record the same time, with ASIO audio setup and the shortest still working latency.

You must have found that the recirded track cannot be heard if it is record enabled, so when listenong it must be deengaged
hope it helps

If you want to re-record the Bass track, make sure all the other tracks are not record armed...

The location of your audio files is set in Session Properties:

For information about session management:

If you want, just copy your session folder to another drive as a backup before doing overdubs....

Good luck hope the Bass player is not too pissed... l have been in your situation and it's a tough spot to be Smile
