I just tried WavesFactory free plugin -Cassette Transport on Mac Os X 10.14.6 on Mixbus 32C - 6.2.70 as audio unit and
vst3. There are no problems in function or GUI.

vst3 or vst2, the image is a copy paste of the 2 plugin versions.
Tiny box for the vst2 version...
