Any way of opening a V6 session in V5?
#1
Hi - is there any way of back-saving a V6 session as a V5 one? Or exporting it out as a multi-version format?

The only reliable way I know of is to export all your tracks as stems and import them
into your back-versioned MB/MB32C.

Fixes, enhancements, preference settings and
other customizations in layout are not guaranteed to be backward compatible and may
provide unexpected issues when loading a recent version session into an older version
of MB/MB32C, if they load at all.

Additionally, settings in EQ, compression, buses and plugins will also need to be re-applied
as a lot of these functions also undergo fixes and improvements as MB/MB32C
releases move forward.

Cheers!

@Whtrz, the audio engine underwent major changes between v5 and v6 to allow full PDC across all types of busses.
You can open v5 in v6 and most things should come across. If you try and open v6 session in v5 the following error message is displayed.

Session "/Volumes/Harrison Mixbus/~~~" did not load successfully:
Incomatible Session Version. That session was created with a newer version of Mixbus32C

I would take PBuryk's advice and bounce out stems for importing back into v5.
