MP3 export fails
#1
Bug
Hello,
when I export in MP3, the process stops on an error:

[INFO]: Encode command: { "C:\Program Files\Mixbus6\video\harvid\ffmpeg.exe" "-f" "f32le" "-acodec" "pcm_f32le" "-ac" "2" "-ar" "44100" "-i" "pipe:0" "-y" "-q:a" "2" "-metadata" "comment=Created with Mixbus" "C:\Users\frederic\Desktop\Eliott\Mixbus\Berçeuse Marine\export\Berçeuse Marine_session_2020-08-24_2038.mp3"}
[ERROR]: Export ended unexpectedly: Exception thrown by AudioGrapher::CmdPipeWriter<float>: Target encoder process is not running

Using Mixbus 6.1.22 on Windows 7.

Hmmm can you look if "C:\Program Files\Mixbus6\video\harvid\ffmpeg.exe" exists? Can you try to import a video?

FFMPEG is present. Importing a video works.

Well it looks like the export fails if the session is named with character such as "ç" or "é", etc. I would try to narrow the problem by launching FFMPEG by command line but now's the time for mixing, not bug hunting ;-)
Workaround is to rename the session, avoiding non ascii characters.

Sounds like an old "friend" - char set problems have haunted Mixbus (and connected free software) for a while. Happy mixing!

Mixbus32C, v6.2.200. Same problem with mp3 export.

My paths are all in clear English, no unusual characters. the problem appeared with the new update (Mixbus32C, v6.2.200)
Windows 7 x64 SP1

Correction: I hit the send button a tad too soon ... MP3 export with the "Normailize" option enabled will process the session but the FAIL on the normalize step.
Still can't export to MP3 .. apparently support is working on a fix as we speak.

Windows 10 Pro 20H2 Build 19042.746
Mixbus v6.2.200

I was able to export as MP3 but I had to create a "new" MP3 export format .. do not use the built-in formats.
I also performed the MP3 export AFTER a successful WAV export, it's possible that helped.  I'd consider these workarounds until they address & fix the problem.

MP3 export is a known issue and the developers are working on a fix right now... should be pretty soon.
