Plugin Scan Problem
#1
Hey everybody - I'm having a crazy problem with Mixbus c32v6.702 getting hung up scanning VST plugins- it's just whirling through the plugins in an endless loop, no timeout happening.
Let it go for 15 minutes, then had to force quit to stop-
Tried restarting computer, re-installing Mixbus, to no avail.
Waiting to hear back from support-
Can anyone tell me how to start Mixbus without loading plugins?
I know that info is buried in the forum somewhere, but I couldn't find it-
Thanks!

Holding down the Command key whilst loading Mixbus should (from memory !!) boot without scanning for plugins.
Also... have you recently installed new plugins that might be causing the hang ?
Macmini 8,1 | OS X 13.6.3 | 3 GHz i5 32G | Scarlett 18i20 | Mixbus 10 | PT_2024.3.1 .....  Macmini 9,1 | OS X 14.4.1 | M1 2020 | Mixbus 10 | Resolve 18.6.5

Saved by Ben! Once again!

A folder named VST was created inside the main VST plugin folder by a new plugin installation -
This caused Mixbus to go in circles and caused the hang.
Deleting the folder fixed everything.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

Mixbus support is phenomenal!
