vertical zoom in a region
#1
Hi everybody
I'm looking for a way to increase/decrease the vertical zoom of a waveform in a specific region. Is it possible?

Right click in the left hand side panel: Height >

Or (in MacOs) I find it easier to use control+mousewheel to zoom in and out vertically.
For horizontal zoom, use command+mousewheel.
Makes it very easy to zoom to a particular area.

Not sure what keys are used for Windows.

Tks, this is useful to zoom the entire track.
But If I need to vertical zoom (in or out) the waveform INSIDE
a region? Is it possible?
Tks again

I don't know if you can do that - maybe someone else will chime in.

You can right click on a region: region name > gain > normalize
But that will alter the gain.

What exactly is it that you are wanting to achieve?

I know you can highlight the area you want to work on and hit Z. It fills the screen with the highlighted section. Then utilize the mouse wheel per Stix comment. Then you hit Z multiple times to zoom out.
Also per Stix comment the shortcut for region gain increase or decrease is Alt + 6,7
