Recording a tempo map on the fly?
#1
Hi, what would be the most efficient way to build/record a tempo map "on the fly" either by following an incoming midi clock or an audio click?

Thanks

I'm not aware of one...however if you need help in getting a tempo map from another app, that I do a lot. Thing is--it's full name is really "MIDI tempo maps". So it's largely a MIDI sequencing function...I do it all the time from LogicX or CubaseX.

But, also--be happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

It's a little more nuanced in Mixbus: there's manual tempo mapping and then there's importing a MIDI tempo map. See manual here: http://www.harrisonconsoles.com/mixbus/m...empo-ramps

I think the OP is wondering whether it's possible to record tempo maps on the fly while recording; I don't think that's possible although you might be able to insert tempo markers while recording.

I don't think you understood what I meant. I not only fully understand those two capabilities...I've done them both.

We agree that neither is what he's asking for...
