Great albeit brief interview from some years back with the late Jan Erik Kongshaug, well known for his recordings for ECM. I didn't notice the bit about the Harrison console until a recent re-reading, but among the many things I love about his technique is little use of EQ, "compression with taste," a focus not just on the signal chain but the instruments and room, and his deep expertise in combining reverbs.
