(Easy, fast) Mono to Stereo-Track change

Don't know if this was discussed before:
I'd love to see (aka: would use it often and it would spped up my work a lot) the possibility to change/switch to recorded Mono-Tracks to a Stereo-Track.
Like: having 2 Tracks (e.g. Overheads, Keys,...) recorded as Mono Tracks and want to switch them to one Stereo Track for combined processing in Stereo.
Could be a Stereo-Track in the Editor where one could just drag the two Regions on each "Side" or could be some Channel-Linking in the Mixer (with one united Plug-In-Slot),..

Not for two tracks as cominned but for one mono to stereo it can be dragged into a stereo track and it is szereo then
