How to implement this fx chain in Mixbus?
#1
I have 3 solo guitars in stereo: one far left, one far right and the last one in the center. I want this signal chain for each of the solo guitars:

guitar signal -> stereo delay (10% mix) -> reverb(15% mix)

Instead of using inserts on each guitar, I want to make use of the mixbuses 1 and 2 to implement this simultaneously for all the guitars. Per default, the first mixbus is sent to the main output as well as the second mixbus. How can I send the delayed, instead of the original, signal into the reverb bus? Do I have to create a new mix bus with custom routing?

If I use inserts, the effects also appear right behind each track (hard left and right and center). Will I yield the same result with the delay and reverb mixbus method above? Is the panning of each track taken into account by the mixbus fx?

Also, is there a way to select all three guitar channels and change their bus send level simultaneously?

I can comment on the last thing in your question, and I don't think you can do that. I double checked here to be sure there was not an option for that, and there's not that I see. http://www.harrisonconsoles.com/mixbus/m...s?q=groups

That would be great to be implemented, as well as adjusting groups of EQ's and filters.

I'm not sure how you would do the first question, but it would be great to get an answer on that. That's popped up here on the forum a few times and users really need to be able to do that. It may be buried in the routing options somewhere.

I didn't watch these but they may be of use:

First: the only reason to do anything you're talking about is because you want the delay repeats to have their own reverb tails. Not abnormal, but not something that is always a great idea. Just needed to say that up front. If you DON'T want that, you have a MB with delay....and a MB with reverb--send guitars AND whatever to them in whatever amounts controlled by the SEND on the guitar channels. They follow the pan pot by default. You can "break" that, at least in 32c....but, by default, they will follow the pan pot of the sending channel.

If you DO want to do what you're asking, you choose an empty MB and call it "guitarMulti"....you insert the delay followed by the reverb on the mixbus. You set the mix on the delay to 66% wet....and the reverb to 100% wet. You then you the MB fader (on this GuitarMulti) to blend how much of the effect you want in relation to the original signal. The 66% gives you your 2 to 3 (10% to 15%) effect ratios but the amount has to be set by ear.
