First 96K Mix on MixBus32C
#1
I did my first 96K mix on MixBus 32C this evening. Just 15 tracks, recorded by Al Schmitt in Studio A at Capital Records in LA and the basis of a mix contest over at PureMix

If you scroll down you may see and hear my submission on the list.

I used only console tools, one Slate reverb, and one stereo bus. #mixingBliss

I don't see any mix there. What is the user name? BTW, mine also mixed using Harrison Mixbus 32C and 95% of the plugins are Harrison and specially I pushed The drum character to their limit to augment the mix and waves torque my Mac mini just cried. https://www.puremix.net/zelab-mixing-con...dTcM4zw%3D

If Harrison Keep bringing them as a form of AVA thing, its like a gift to those who would like to work on other DAWs.

Hi Frank, what I meant was DAW beside Mixbus. The likes of Studio One, Logic Pro, Protools, Reaper e.t.c I haven't seen a plugin which can shape a drum like the character bundle. Maybe waves trans? I don't think so it is a transient designer.

when i changed to Mixbus , i got rid of all other daws: sold them, deleted them.
Just have one tool, and know it well. Is more pleasant to work: no decisions what too choose. And the best tool is always the one you know best.
And yes the character bundle is something. On Bass: nobody ever recorded my bass better, i heard, No EQ just the character.
I record a drumkit with just an X-Y pair. No overheard or silly room mikes to blurr things.
Superb stereo image. And with the drum character i lift a tom, or the snare. sometimes on parallel busses.
sometimes Dyno-mite to hide some attack and push the kit back.
I only use plugins i know verey well , how they function. One thing i love about them that they are to the point. No distracting additional features. The right amount of knobs, so you do not need hours to add the generic controls.
