Rode Microphones and Fuzz Measure
#1
Rode Microphones has acquired Fuzz Measure to form Rode Test, a scientific measurement division.

They will apparently be rolling out calibrated test microphones sometime this year.
It's only on OS X 10.10+ and at USD $99 for home user (software only) it's not cheap, but it appears to be a lower cost entry than some systems and gives Sweep/impluse based measurement with; Time Domain, Frequency Domain, RT60, 3D waterfall and Data / Graphic export.
At this point I have no idea what the cost of calibrated microphones will be, but Rode have been able to deliver a good product at much lower prices plus as a long time user of Fuzz Measure Pro3 it's good to see the addition of Rode's backing.
Macmini 8,1 | OS X 13.6.3 | 3 GHz i5 32G | Scarlett 18i20 | Mixbus 10 | PT_2024.3.1 .....  Macmini 9,1 | OS X 14.4.1 | M1 2020 | Mixbus 10 | Resolve 18.6.5

Long live RØDE! Interesting mic connector in the video - BNC! The mics must be tiny, perhaps easily fit into a dummy head.
By the way, do you know who does mic calibrations in Australia? I have two Behringer ECM8000 with the generic calibration file, wondering what it would cost to have one of them calibrated.
I'm on Linux and intend to use REW: https://www.roomeqwizard.com/

Cheers,

It's a hideously expensive task, I check my rig against a studio I have worked with for many years who have a piston phone which they get calibrated every year or two.
There are a number of lowish costing piston phones on the market that will give a reasonable result.
You could try https://acousticresearch.com.au/Services/Calibration if really keen.
