REQ: Analyzers
#1
Information
Hey everybody,

I would like to ask if there would be a (future) possibility to have some kind of analyzers directly integrated into Mixbus? Like this ones – https://github.com/x42/meters.lv2

I'm currently using IXL Multimeter (Inspector XL) because I really like the spectrogram and the rather unconventional stereo analyzer (the visualization mode with the head in the middle) but this plugin keeps me from switching to 64-bit…

What analyzers do you guys use?

Cheers,
Martin

Hi,

The free's one:

Span (Voxengo)
K-Meter
Invada meter
...
For an audio file, Sonic Visualizer
...
All these are working at least under linux. Think you know that

I might add:
- Calf analyzer;
- Japa;
- Jaaa.

Concerning "Span", are you sure that it works on Linux as native (lv2)?

Thanks,

Sorry friends, THIS is what I'd expect from an analyzer tool:

http://hofa-plugins.de/pages/start_en/iq-a_en.php

this should be the level of talking about analyzers. I would pay for that additionally. (I am talking about Linux)

It looks very beauty but... what are the features that are missing on 'our' plugins?
I'm asking you that because it would be useful to forward these to the maintener.

Thanks,
Touch.

well, what should I say....

not mattering about the last freaky details, but:

* integration into the DAW as a plugin, not an extra tool (like Sonic Visualizer)
* the possibility of the "energy" curve (VERY VERY IMPORTANT)
* saving and comparing saved analysis in the running session

is what I'd appreciate, more features that Calf or Invada, more integration that the Java tools. And the most important (and as far as I know Voxengo fails here): Linux compatibility (best would be LV2)

just my two cents
