Mixbus 4.2 (Gnu/Linux) Synth midi external update list

how do you add to the list of midi external synth synthesizers for the patch creator the synth roland d 50 and korg m1 and alesi micron i do not see in the list. Many thanks for your help me

Those are MIDNAM descriptions and are only used for naming things (banks, patches, note-names). It's an official MIDI spec and many vendors do provide those files for their hardware synths.

You can add custom ones by adding .midnam files to the config-folder. On Linux: ~/.config/mixbus4/patchfiles/ (create the dir if it does not exist, only Files that have the file-extension .midnam are read).

Mixbus itself comes with a collection of files, most of which were user-contributed or provided by some vendors, but you can also roll your own. For inspiration: https://github.com/Ardour/ardour/tree/master/patchfiles
