[SOLVED] F* keys not working
#1
Saving a view for instance using Ctrl-F1 works well. A sign appears telling that the view was saved. Recalling the view using F1 does not work. The F1 apparently does nothing. Same with F2. Hopefully they do nothing and I'm not messing up the mix by trying these out !

Using the View -> Views -> F* menu options works well and jumps as expected to a saved view.

What's wrong with the F keys ? This is on Linux.

It turns out that on Linux F keys from 4 onwards do work. So it's possible to use them as expected. Only the first 3 do nto work. This is Linux running KDE.

check the KDE settings for shortcut keys.. It is quite likely they have been assigned to something else.
I highly recommend changing to XFCE, it's lighter on system resources, but still full featured.. (doesn't matter what came with the distro, you can usually install and start using other WM's.. )
