Track fades

I had a track fade not working, …until
...I deleted the region layer underneath…
Maybe it's a setting somewhere ?

The fades on regions are actually crossfades that crossfade to whatever is below them. To my knowledge there is no setting to change that.

I forgot to mention :
The track had a copy of itself underneath, so no crossfades…
Just fadein and fadeout
