Linux plugins question
#11
@Drazen

I should clarify, Windows VST's will only work within Mixbus (both 32 and 64bit) through Carla, on AV Linux 32bit there is a special build of Ardour called 'ArdourVST' that supports WindowsVST plugins natively and they should appear with their GUI's just like any other plugins. There is a small sampling of freebie oldie but goodie WinVST plugins included in the AV Linux 32bit version to use with ArdourVST, but they are not included in AV Linux 64bit version, this is why you couldn't find a /usr/local/lib/vst folder on the 64bit version.

In ArdourVST you need to run a fresh plugin scan, close your session and re-open Ardour for the GUI's to work

Hi GMaq,

Yes, I figured it out. I made vst folder on my 64bit machine, scanned it with Carla and now I can use win Vst in Mixbus through Carla. In ArdourVST they are showing nativeli.. but I am using Mixbus.

Thanx everyone for clarifying me all vst stuf on linux.

Best
