Coming back to this one…
I made some region fades in several tracks, but now I want to replace audio.
How can I leave these fades and replace just the audio files ?
Not a big deal in Digital Performer …press 'r' and the replace dialog appears...
Sorry if I'm overseeing something in MB32C4.2.74

Unfortunately that's not a feature in Mixbus. It sounds like a good idea. But perhaps not as high priority as many other items we'd like to do.
I suppose if you were really stuck, you could hand-edit the session file to point at a different wavefile. But you can't do it "on the fly" from inside Mixbus, sorry.

Thanks Ben !
I duplicated the track , imported audio ( via region import - importing into tracks produces a stereo track ??? ) , duplicated the regions and it's fades…

@Klaus: In the "import" dialog, you can select between:
One track per file ( this imports a stereo file into a single stereo track )
or:
One track per channel ( this imports a stereo file into 2 mono tracks )

I imported a mono file directly into a track and it created a stereo track ( file )…
Import via region list and drag the region into a mono track is a workaround...
I think I reported this earlier already
Thanks

@Klaus: I think you can use layers to effectively replace audio.
Just paste the new audio over the existing audio, and select which audio is top layer (Can change track layers to Stacked instead Overlaid to see what is in region.)
All track automation is retailed. If fade up to region was made using track fader/automation, it will be retained.
Region automation remains with region layer - I'm not sure if the region automation can be copied and pasted onto the new audio layer.
If Opaque is unchecked - Region automation can be used to fade between layers ie region fade up will be from silence if opaque is on, or a fade between layers if opaque is off.
