Zynaddsubfx
#1
zynaddsubfx is a very powerful free-software synth that is available on all platforms, but so far as standalone (JACK) application [1].

It is currently undergoing major redesign: A sleeker user-interface and an official LV2 version are two of the main parts under heavy development.
Once done, it will become very interesting for use with Mixbus, maybe even a candidate to be bundled with Mixbus!

Quote:As a next major step for the project is a full rewrite of the UI, replacing the current junk-drawer of knobs with a much easier to navigate and explore interface [...]
I'd like to solicit feedback about this interface project and general usability/interface issues that already exist.

Here's a short survey on the topic: http://goo.gl/forms/st8xv3s2I9

If you have used zyn in the past or know its UI, the developers will be grateful for your feedback.

[1] There are some unmaintained or unsupported plugin versions around. See the KVR forum. This is currently work in progress.

Done the survey. One of the most versatile synths available for Linux. The mockups look promising.

Cheers,
