Reverse Reverb
#1
Reversed verb is a great tool that I have often used on Dialogue and Effects. The classic use in music is the reveresed snare sound.
There are some DAWS that provide this as a button press, but I still like the old way... This is how I do it.

Copy the region you want onto a new track, reverse the copied region.
Send to reverb from the reversed region and re-record the return signal onto another track.
Reverse the reverberated region.
Align the reversed reverb to the original region getting the effect you are after.
I have found a Hall or Chamber with RT of about 1.2 to 1.6 with no predelay and no Dry is a good starting point.

Yes flipping two inch tape and 35mm magnetic made it very easy to do reverse effects. Replicating that and other 'tape effects' in the digital domain is far more complex.
