Feature Request: Blank Panel
#1
One thing that I would like to see would be the ability to add a blank
panel that can be used as a track separator. Even though one can
color related tracks and gather them together, I still find that if I add
a new track named "- - - - -" and insert it (or a few of them) here and
there it helps to make identification of certain tracks easier in the edit
window. Unfortunately, this has less of an effect in the mixer window
because it is still displayed as any other channel strip. A blank
panel, on the other hand could just be displayed as a - blank track or channel strip.
In the edit window it could also inherit the size option. In the mixer
window, full or reduced size like any other channel strip. Selection of
a blank panel can be done via the Add Track Menu - Mono, Stereo or
Blank.

Just a thought...

I like that idea! I've seen the same idea somewhere else here at the forum. I will put it on our list to consider.

I like the idea too. This would be useful both for large screens and small screens.

Seems like a simple but absolutely ingenious solution for a very annoying thing. On an analog desk, you don't need to search for a channel but in mixbus I often get lost in in the mixer when there are more tracks than screen.

Great Idea!
