One way is to import them from the Interchange folder.

When you import a stereo track, it gets stored as two mono tracks, "L audio-name" and "R audio-name" in "Songname/Interchange" folder.
Just import them both to mono tracks.

If you see a bunch of "% L audio" type stuff and can't tell which file to import, just do a "Cleanup" to get rid of the extra files.

You can rightclick on the region, click on the regionname in the popup-window and click on "make mono regions". They will then appear in the region-tab on the right side and are named "regionname-L and regionname-R.
