Mixbus sounds so good!
#1
hey all.....just a little Mixbus love.....I record our jams on a Zoom h4n every week, and then edit them and send to the band via dropbox......

Well, this week I decided to try out Mixbus for this.....as soon as I dropped the jam in there, it just sounded better......a lot better......so, I dropped it into my other DAW and it was noticeable duller......very, very significant difference......I'm listening to it now and it sounds better than ever......a little EQ and some makeup/limiting on the master, and I was good to go! LOVE IT!

PS.....exporting "range markers to multiple audio files" is so handy for this sort of thing.....

Yeah, I find myself being way less 'surgical' (especially drums) in Mixbus.

Without any doubt, in my opinion, it's the best sounding daw ever.

I agree! It sounds great, I do all my mixes with harrison, now we need a midi consol for the home studio exclusively made by harrison for harrison!

You know, I wasn't sold on the 'dedicated controller' idea to start with. But the more I think about it, the more sense it makes.
Couldn't afford a top line one, though, and I doubt Harrison would make a cheapie.
We'll see, I guess.

I feel like mentioning this in this thread:

A guy liked my mix and asked what plugs and settings I used. I promised to look into my project and tell him more details.
The surprising thing was even for me that when I opened my project and looked for the lot plugs I had in my head I found plugs only on the vocal, kick and the master channel. The rest were just what Mixbus offers on its channel strips.

I find myself reaching for plugs if I want and effect like distortion, reverb or delay. Other than that, I just tweak the mixbus knobs!

I found that I drastically reduced the number of plugins I use since I mix with Mixbus. It's simply the best sounding DAW ever, those channel strips are everything you need for a track for the 95% of a session. I just have to add delays and reverb, my mixing session have just those plugins, nothing else.

In my opinion, one of the best feature is the integated Tape Saturation, AWESOME Smile
