Import/Search Freesound not working
#1
I was wanting to find some city traffic sounds from Freesound via the Import/Search Freesound menu item, and apparently this is not working. I am getting the error: "no child node "sounds" found!"

I tried this under Ardour 4.1 as well, and same thing. So then I tried the Windows version of MB3. Also broken there. I would suspect that Freesound is either down or has changed some link somewhere that has not been reflected in the MB3/Ardour sources.

I also posted this over on the Ardour forums, and discovered that this is already a known bug. My bad!

Any chance of getting this bug fixed anytime soon? It has been nearly a year. It is no longer giving me the "no child node "sounds" found!" error, but it simply doesn't return any results on a search now.

In Mixbus v3.4, we've removed the Freesound tab until the new protocol is implemented.

I'll bump the priority on this item.

Thanks for your reply Ben. Much appreciated. I have been doing a lot of audio production for local television commercials, and the sound effects that are offered by freesound are quite useful. I will continue manually downloading them for now.
