x42 Plugin
#1
Help! Can anyone tell me how to install the x42 plugin in MB3? I've copied it to /usr/lib/lv2 but am apparently not doing something right since it is not visible. I am running on Ubuntu Studio 15.04

sudo apt-get install x42-plugins or something similar doesn't work ?

No, I had tried that before (and did it again just now) and I do not see x42 (or fil4..) anywhere. So I assume I am missing or not understanding something.Sad

Do you have any other lv2 plugs in /usr/lib/lv2, if so can you see them in the plugin list ? Or is it just the x42 plugins that make problems ?

After installing (using ubuntu repos), Mixbus needs to be re-started to find the plugins.

the EQ (fil4) is rather new (spring 2015) and only available in Ubuntu Wily (upcoming 15.10) or KXStudio or Debian, it's not in Ubuntu 15.04.

Can you post the output of

Code:
lv2ls | grep gareus.org

That should at least list the meters and some other plugins (it looks like Ub 15.04 ships a 15 months old version, so I can't be sure.

PS. The original Linux binary of Mixbus3 from harrisonconsoles.com had a missing extension ("meters" vs "meters.lv2" in the application bundle). it's already fixed and will come with the next update of MB.

Thanks for responding. It does appear to be a 15.04 issue with fil4 not showing. I have the other x42 plugs instantiated. So guess I just need to wait for 15.10 to release. Again, thanks!

Else you can still add the KXStudio repos to your system. I find them more reliable and up-to-date than Ubuntustudio.

Currently the official website is down, but at the moment you can find instructions to set-up the repos here : http://kxstudio.gaussrifle.de/Repositories
