How to use plugins with 8 outputs ?
#1
Hello,

There are some plugins that offers 8 audio outputs. For instance the Uhbik series by u-he. In Mixbus 3.1 the default L/R panning control does not handle them properly. The sound will come off from one side only. In Ardour there is some kind of a round, blue, circle that appears in a track mix strip when such a plugin is detected, with a point that can be moved around the circle. That point allows to properly manage the signal. Paul Davis mentioned I think that this was experimental.

How are such plugins handled in Mixbus ? Is there some option that needs to be enabled ?

Thanks.

Think hardware. On a real console each of those outputs would be wired to it's own channel and mixed there. Guess how you have to do it in Mixbus?

I've just put a feature request in for the stereo pan controls that Ardour has in one extra knob, but I don't think the console format will allow the full multichannel goodness that is Ardour's pan control. We'll have to stick to routing channels for those Smile
