Somewat OT - Has anyone heard of remoting into mix audio?
#1
I have a "user" I wanted to set up to sync our session folders so they could mix at their location on their computer in another state. I got push back, he wants to remote into our Mixbus 32C and stream the audio back to his computer.

Has anyone heard of that being done and what software was used?

Some remote software like Jump Desktop is fast enough for operating the controls but doesn't support ASIO audio.

I've used OBS and Voicemeeter with Zoom to setup people to do remote lessons. Is that the way to go?

Thanks in advance for any advice on this.

For streaming, Blue Cat Connector will do the trick, but useful for tracks not entire sessions. Network connections are generally fast these days, so just sending a zip of the session folder is not too challenging. Wouldn’t think there’s a good reason to “remote in”. Syncing session folders may lead to issues unless both systems are intentionally set up with the same settings licenses and plugins.
