It would be nice to check into a log how much time was spent for a project...
( undo history ? )

I would highly recommend using - - - MS Excel !! (Or whatever similar app you're using on Windows/MAC/Linux)
Really... It takes very little time to log Client Session Start/End Times into an Excel type spreadsheet's cells and create macros to add them up.
Sessions can be VERY unstructured at time and what you DON'T want to do is start nit-picking productivity
and charging by actual DAW Rec/play time. Be a Session Engineer, not a friggin Bean-Counter!
Client pays for the time they are in the studio, not the time they are actually performing...
Unless you are the cause of the time-outs.

Here's an interesting observation to make:
How quickly does the client set and break-down their gear once they know they might be charged for those time segments?
Decide on a policy that explains that "Start of Session" begins, say, 30-minutes past their calendar booking time.
Similarly, "End of Session" occurs, say, 20-minutes before calendar end time.
In the above example, the studio provides ample time for the client to be in a productive state.
If they want to waste time talking about how sucky their last gig was, well, that's THEIR dime.

Cheers!

@PBuryk - good observations - running a studio is not about punching a Bundy clock on and off nor logging every time your computer hits record or play.
I have seen many studios come and go, the ones who thrived were those that offered not just good acoustics, properly setup equipment and competent engineers but above all they nurtured a good creative atmosphere whilst also charging a fair rate and cutting some slack with producers.
Getting customers in the door is pretty easy... getting them back in again and again is the art.
There was a well known recording studio in Melbourne that went bust...
It may have had something to do with the dodgy studio manager at the time...
That and the liner notes on the sleeve of Nick Cave's album 'Kicking Against the Pricks'... it read "Time and money wasted at Richmond Recorders"

Thought it was just for statistic and self information. Would not use such an app for my billing process and never ever show it to clients.. but for statistic the plugin can be some nice information. And @Klaus: it is not a plugin manager, just a plugin which documents your project working time. I think there is no need to implement that into mixbus (but that is of course jzst my 2ct of opinion)
