Pre-Post buttons
#1
Yes, I know I've asked for this before, but still waiting. Maybe in v.10 ......

Pre-Post buttons on the Mixbus sends would be really useful and would open up lots of effects possibilities. Most hardware consoles had a couple of switchable sends including, I believe, the original 32C.

You could use Aux Sends, but this would leave the Mixbus engine and doesn't compensate latency.

That is correct, Audio Busses (AKA Aux Sends, Utility Busses) are fully Delay compensated and have been since v7.
So currently best way to have a pre fader Bus is to use an additional mono or stereo Audio Bus.
Use the Aux Send Tab to determine where in the signal flow you want to send from.

Did I imagine it, or did Dingo say that Pre Fade sends were a long term aim? I was just getting excited.

Yes I did but in a Heisenberg moment I redacted that statement because I know it came up in conversation with Ben but now I doubt the accuracy of my recollection….. so I would like to think so… but sorry I am not sure…
