Play with preroll only via menue possible

I set [ as keyboard shortcut and it shows in the menue command and works from the menue dropdown,
but not as a keystroke...
I use an english keyboard and it is a direct key ( 2.nd left of return )
???
I tried P and that one didn't work as well

Just tried Keyboard Shortcuts / Global / Transport / Play with Pre Roll (Backslash) and that is working for me.
