I've got a plugin, JS-5 Analog Poly Synth by Andreas Brünner, that the Plugin Manager tags as "Error". Poking around in the log I find that it seems to scan fine, getting all the way to
with no error messages, but Mixbus then fails with:
I think because the VST author name, written to the .v2i file, includes an ANSI umlauted u (0xFC) — i.e. a lone byte, not a UTF-8 sequence, which I would guess Mixbus would be using these days. I removed the VST from the blacklist manually, edited the .v2i and PluginScanLogEntry files just in case, and it does load and run with no obvious problems.
Thoughts...?
