Anyone using Knifonium in Mixbus

Hi, is anyone using Knifomium in Mixbus 32cV8? I need some help to find a way to play it via midi-keybord. The only way I get audio out of it is to press the piano-roll keys in edit view, my midi keybord does not do anything with it and so does virtual keyboard. Where is my mistake? I checked routing multiple times now, but there is not so much, which could be wrong.

Any ideas?

interestingly enough it works when I plug my old clavinova into the midi in of my x-touch and route that to Knifonium, but it will not work when I use my novation as the midi source. I don't get it, what is wrong? Novation works fine with most other instruments (even at the same time) and it sends midi data to the track (it shows input when I press anything).
