#1
Hi Everyone,

I see you can open a project with all FX bypassed, but how and you re-enable them when you need them...I've looked everywhere?

Thx, Jeff

If you launch with Plugins suspended the only way to reinstate them is to relaunch the session.

Have a look at Lua scripts for what you want....
You can right mouse on the Lua script buttons and choose from pulldown menu 'bypass plugins'.
This thread details additional scripts you may find helpful...

I try copy and pasting other lure scripts into my mix bus 8.1 and I can't save it. There's no place to save it, there's a load. But there's no save that I see??

How to load and save a Lua script....

1. In Mixbus, Window/Scripting will open the Lua script window, select all of your code and copy.

2. Highlight lines two and three of Lua code and paste your script over (Note first line is save command so we leave that there)

3. After pasting the Save button will illuminate - press this to save

4. The Lua script has now been saved (the bottom line confirms this)

Scripts are housed in your preferences folder...and are saved with an alpha numeric code name: a_b4db0bda8.lua etc - not the plain English name.
When you right click to add a script to Mixbus the plain text names will be shown.

The preferences folder location varies with each OS, but it is always found inside the HOME (“~”) folder:

Mac OS X: ~/Library/Preferences/Mixbus8
Windows: ~/AppData/Local/Mixbus8
Linux: ~/.config/mixbus8
