Some AVA Plug-ins not loading — Mac (Solved)
#1
Problem: Bought the De-Esser, got my license, ran the latest installer for MacOS. Started my DAW (Digital Performer but had the same problem in Logic). Only five of the Harrison-AVA plug-ins showed up but not all. De-Esser was in the list of those that didn't appear.

(many attempts at solving this later…)

The Solution:

I went to (HD)/Library/Audio and into each of these three folders, Components, VST, VST3. Sorting contents by Name, I found all eight of the Harrison-AVA plug-ins in each folder. Right-clicking on any of them shows I had installed them over a year. I highlighted all 24 (3 each folder) and sent them to Trash but did not Empty.

Next, I ran the latest installer again and rebooted. This time all eight plug-ins appeared with today's installation date. I fired up Digital Performer again and the Harrison-AVA De-Esser appeared in the list, accepted my new license and I am on my way.

Just for kicks, they now load fine into Logic Pro X and Mixbus32C-7, too, as expected.

My setup:

2017 iMac Pro 18 core 4TB, MacOS 12.4 Monterey
Hundreds of VIs and plug-ins.
DAWs: Mixbus32C-7, Digital Performer 11.1.1, Logic Pro X and a few others
