8.0.17 problem - sliced clip causes an offset when placing new notes
#1
Hey guys, problem in Mixbus 32C 8.0.17 (rev 8.0-17-g39fc2c0f9f) Intel 64-bit:

1. Record a midi clip.
2. Use cut mode to slice the clip.
3. Use edit mode to and control+click to place a new note (or use draw mode to see the problem constantly)

The problem is an offset between your cursor and the new note that is equivalent to length that you sliced.

So if you slice off a measure from a recorded midi clip, when you try to place a new note the note will be placed 1 measure behind wherever your mouse is clicking. (You can see the disconnect before clicking in draw mode.)

This has a 100% repro rate.

The workaround is to use Range Mode to select the area, right click and choose "consolidate."

That fixes the disconnect between the mouse cursor and the placed note.

This is also (I'm thinking of your other posting today) an old and well know issue and you should report it directly to: mixbus@harrisonconsoles.com.

Nice error report and nice job with the reproducing of the bug. :-)  I'm sure that a fix for these issues will make Mixbus* much more attractive for MIDI users!
Mixbus/Mixbus32C on Linux (Kubuntu)/KXStudio repositories.
