High DSP at 96K
#1
I have a Dell Precision 3510, Core i7-6820HQ CPU, 16GB RAM, SSD...
Should I be able to use Mixbus 32c at 96kHz?
I just have 9 audio tracks with no added effects (yet). The CPU shows at 39% in Task Manager, while Mixbus DSP shows >90% to 100%.
Is that normal? Expected?
I have gone though and optimized Windows settings as much as possible.

I must admit I don't use 96KHz but what's your audio buffer size currently? If it's 512 or less, try increasing it to 1024 and see if that helps.

Setting the buffer size to 1024 made a huge difference. It is absolutely usable like that. It was set to 96k, 256.
Thanks!
