The led channel meter on the Behringer X-touch works when recording, and when playing back. It does not work if simply mixing. Can that be changed?

Bit confused Brian, if the led meters whilst recording and playing back what difference is there when mixing ?
Mixing being a long sequence of playing stuff back

Sorry to sound confusing. We use Mixbus as a "console" to mix for our livestream. We are not recording what we mix, simply passing it thru Mixbus to the audio portion of our streaming software. So we are not playing it back (from disk), nor are we recording what is being fed into Mixbus via our Dante network. Therefore, the LED meters on the X-touch do not show any activity.
