Lost in 2021 - Harrison and VST?
#1
I like Harrison, but does it work with VST intruments, midi, Alesis Vi midi controller?
Would ideally like to work with Abbey Road drums (anything better in 2021?)

Some have said they track and midi in other DAW's and only mix in Harrison due to midi issues.

Thoughts and advice?

I would suggest you download a demo of 32Cv7.2 and try for yourself.

Support for Alesis was added in v7.0 - VST & VST3 are also supported.

The "MIDI issues" are just that Mixbus' MIDI editing capabilities are nowhere near the sophistication of Cubase or Cakewalk, not that Mixbus has trouble playing VSTis.

Byron is right.
I use only EZdrummer as midi instrument and, as always, I record it spead into wave tracks and edit it as any other recorded waves.
