Any reason why MB32 only recognises VST 2 plugins?

Thanks. I only have Kontakt (v6.5.2) from NI...it looks like they did VERY recently update to include a VST3 option. As in AFTER mine...and I don't upgrade Kontakt willy nilly to see how that goes--too many libraries and authorizations and...but, it looks like an Oct release that enabled it--YOU can beta test that for us. Hi Jamie - are you a registered customer with NI? I looked on their web site but the only free downloads I could find were still VST2  Sad

Sorry everyone, I've confused myself and the problem by assuming VST 2 = 32bit and VST3 = 64bit. My bad. What's actually happening is that MB7 will only load 32-bit versions of Addictive Drums 2 and all NI (Komplete 8), even though there are 64-bit versions available in the correct folder ...I think. ( during installation of most plugins you're asked a location for 32 then 64 bit plugs, but I have no way of checking the plugins in that VST 64 bit folder are actually 64 bit).
I'll do some tests to try and pin down exactly what, if anything, isn't happening.

v6.6 of Kontakt is where they opened it to the VST3 format additionally. I update it so infrequently--really when I'm FORCED to by some new "game changing" (sic) library needing a newer one. With Spitfire moving to their own player, I'm not sure once those are ported I'll even update it.

If you want to read the latest, this is where I keep an eye out (it's their running sticky on the subject of the latest Kontakt):

Like various newer OSs...I just like to kind of have my bearings about where there are issues...no what to skip--I noted because there seems to be a lot of growing pains around VST3.

Obviously, it turns out this is neither here nor there for the OP....but, I wanted to make sure to circle back.

Hmmm, I didn't know about it. Thank you for mentioning this
