In Mixbus 7 when I import a midi file, I cannot select instruments = none. I attach images.

It was a mistake that in older versions of Mixbus "none" was available as instrument to audition MIDI files.
The instrument selector in the import-dialog is to select a synth to audition MIDI files before importing them.  "none" is not a valid option to audition MIDI.

Until the issue is addressed somehow (maybe a checkbox: use synth for audition only) you can remove the synth after the fact. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The reason is to use a multi-timbric instrument through a MIDI bus.
