Hi, does anyone bother with linear phase eq ?
I have been using it on the mix groups as I was lead to believe applying eq to individual track can alter the phase relationship significantly?
I have some real strings and backing vox (multitrack) as well as some other instruments and using T-racks Equal in linear phase mode. Also on the three snare mics sent to a bus.
I have been getting a lot of crashes in this project and think it's the above eq's. I'm on maximum buffer settings and it's a fairly good spec p.c.
Does anyone else do this or am I wasting my time? And if so is linear phase only necessary when the instruments are recorded together as opposed to multitrack individually? Thanks
