maybe i am at the wrong section to ask my question. but, is it so that the MPC channel strip is only a AAX plugin and can't be used in Mixbuss?

Hi Lanya, welcome to the Mixbus Forum...that is correct, MPC Channel is currently AAX and macOS only.
It is one of Harrison's Film / Post products. I know that a number of people have requested a VST version.
If you want to lobby for a VST release, perhaps write to Harrison: plugins@harrisonconsoles.com
